




Jo-Ann Sanborn is a well known painter in South Florida, and has exhibited her paintings from Marco Island to Gloucester, MA
The Florida landscape has become the focus of her work and provides unlimited inspiration. Her strong compositional arrangements combined with uncommon colors bring a simplicity and integrity to the unique landscape of south Florida.
Ms Sanborn has had several solo shows and been granted numerous awards for her paintings including the prestigious Best of Show at the Marco Art League's Fine Arts Show, an Award of Excellence in the Founders Exhibit of the Naples Art Association's Von Liebig Art Center, and was chosen "Artist's Choice," Best of Show 2004, by fellow artists of Naples Fine Artcrafters. She has been featured on WGCU-TV's arts program "Expressions, and teaches workshops on color and the Florida Landscape.
Jo-Ann is a member of the National Association of Women Artists, and Women Artist Professionals, and is an active member of the Art League of Marco Island and the Naples Art Association. Articles about her include "Wet Paint Artists of Naples, "N" Magazine, and "Glades come to Life" in the Naples Times. She was Cover Artist for Naples Guide and Premier Properties "Presenting Southwest Florida's Finest Properties 2003".
Ms. Sanborn attended Becker College in Worcester, MA, and studied under the tutelage of Johanna Murphy of Hartford, Ct. She has participated in a number of workshops with nationally noted artists. She hopes that enjoyment of her work will also foster a more profound respect for the threatened landscape that she portrays.
