Guillermo Ceniceros is an internationally renowned artist born in El Salto Durango, Mexico in 1939. In 1958, he graduated from the School of Art of the University of Nuevo Leon Mexico. Guillermo has work in permanent museum collections as well as in important private collections. He is considered one of the most important mural painters in Mexico, and also does easel work that redefines the study of women. In 1995, the Mexican government opened the Guillermo Ceniceros Museum in Durango. This museum houses the largest collection of his work as well as the work of twenty other artists. The museum is operated by the state and is ranked as the most visited museum in Durango. Guillermo is married to another renowned Mexican artist, Esther Gonzalez.
