About the Artist
Carlos Meijide was born in Buenos Aires in 1953. He attended The University of Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires. He has been the National Professor specializing in the fine arts of painting at Bellas Artes. Carlos has also been a Professor in the theory of painting at the University of Bellas Artes de la Plata in Buenos Aires. Carlos has had expositions, individual and collective, in Madrid, Spain, Paris, France, Argentina, London, and The Foundation MAPFRE. Some of his more important expositions include at the Center of Art Le Bab-îló in Paris, at the Gallery Art – Access IN Bergerac, France, at the Hotel Region de Bordeaux in France, at the Central Cultural Salon Alberto Sánchez in Madrid, at the Spectrum Art Gallery in London, at the Cultural Salon of Ayuntamiento de Vendargues in Montpellier, and at the Gallery of Art Claudio Coello in Madrid. Since 1990 he has resided in Spain.
